Hearts and minds meet about innovation Oct 19,
Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park CA
MENLO PARK, Calf.--(EDUCATION WIRE)--The Silicon Valley Innovation Institute (www.svii.org) is starting something new - holding in house educational sessions addressing the intellectual and the emotional aspects of innovation.
The October 19 Educational (intellectual) Session will feature a panel discussion on Creating and Preserving the Conditions that Support Innovation.
What are some of the necessary conditions that encourage innovation to occur?
Panel Moderator: Dr. Tom Buckholtz - SVII and ex. US Government
Panel Members:
Dr. Tom Bewley - Genetech
Dr. Malcolm De Leo - Clorox
Howard Lieberman - SVII and ex. Apple and Bose
From 7-8:30 PM, Innovation Society Meeting
Emotional support can be many things and although we at SVII
certainly have specific ideas about what it does include, a meeting addressing emothions
has to be participatory in definition and in action. The
meeting will include an interactive session, including a short
survey and (guaranteed) lively discussion.
Innovation is not constrained to business and technology, we can
also include innovation in the arts, non profits, educational
institutions, etc. Innovation is born of creativity and some of
the most creative people come from a variety of backgrounds
(including musicians, writers, and photographers, philanthropists,
educators, etc.).
SVII doors are open the third Thursday of every month.
Join us at our lovely Sand Hill Road office.
Come see what SVII does, share how you innovate, and be part of the
larger dialog.
(light dinner included)
